I went to the Oak Park Conservatory on the 28th with my 50mm macro lens for my Canon; as the autofocus failed me I had to shoot these with manual focus. Since they don’t allow tripods, I had to rock back and forth and hold my breath like a sniper. The conservatory grows these plants during the year and brings them out in December during the Christmas season.

These White paint brush (Haemanthus albiflos is a Southern African genus of Amaryllidaceae) flowers bloom at the Oak Park Conservatory in November-December and this is the first time I’ve seen a number of blooms. I captured these images but forgot to return for more and the blooms had all wilted, so I’ll have to ‘wait till next year’.
